Profile:
Judy Kearney has been one of KRD’s foremost tax accountants since joining the team in November, 2006, and is now one of our valued tax managers. Her credentials include over twelve years of directly related experience, working primarily with smaller, closely-held businesses. Judy is responsible for our larger real estate partnership clients.
Like many of her peers at KRD, Judy’s background is unusually diverse for a CPA. After graduating from the University of Illinois in 1975 with a degree in Criminal Justice, she spent over a decade owning and operating her own party supply store. In 1994, she returned to college taking accounting classes and sat for the CPA examination in 1998. Judy received her Master of Taxation degree in December, 2009. She received the Excel Award for scoring in the top 3% nationally, and has been building an impressive resume in tax accounting ever since. Judy’s professional memberships include the AICPA and the Illinois CPA Society.
Judy resides on the far northwest side of Chicago with husband Rich, a Chicago Police Sergeant, and son. She likes to spend her free time with her husband, son and family in Wisconsin. She also enjoys reading and taking walks with her dog Kelsey.
