the sole international
organization dedicated to
developing, monitoring, and
maintaining a program of
certification for
professionals engaged in the
turnaround, crisis
management, restructuring
and renewal of troubled
businesses, organizations
and associations. ACTPīs
certification program is
designed to encourage
professional excellence and
to provide an objective
measure and recognition of
expertise. ACTP is a
non-profit corporation and
maintains its administrative
headquarters in Chicago, IL.
To become a Certified
Turnaround Professional
(CTP), professionals must
meet stringent standards of
education, experience and
professional conduct which
have been developed and are
administered by the ACTP
Standards Committee in
conjunction with the ACTP
Faculty.
Each person who completes
the requirements is expected
to serve his or her clients
in an independent,
competent, and professional
manner and to exercise
unprejudiced and unbiased
judgment on each clientīs
behalf. In addition, each
person who achieves
certification is required to
remain active as a
professional, to abide by
the associationīs Code of
Ethics and to complete at
least 125 hours of
continuing professional
education during each
five-year period.
