Mitchell Knopoff has over thirty years experience in public accounting working with family-owned businesses and non-profit organizations, advising them on their accounting, tax and financial needs. His vast experience includes diverse non-profit groups and spans many different areas of business including real estate, manufacturing, distribution, construction, professional services, and third-party administrators (TPA’s).
Mitch strives to give great service to every client and says, “Communication and prompt personal service is my goal with every client so that I can earn and keep their trust”.
Mitch joined the KRD team in July 2008. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Illinois CPA Society. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois, Chicago. Mitchell currently serves on the Board of Directors for Child’s Voice. During his career, Mitchell has also been involved in, and at one time certified in both financial planning and business valuations.
Mitchell resides in Vernon Hills with his wife Sandy and their two youngest children. Their kids have always been very active in various travel sports and Mitch and Sandy have enjoyed being involved with those activities. In his spare time, Mitch enjoys watching Chicago’s major sports teams and playing both fantasy baseball and football.
